Connecting your accounts is what lets PostaiLit publish on your behalf. You can do this during onboarding (Step 5) or any time from Settings, Connections.

Before you start

  • You need a Facebook Page, not a personal profile.
  • You must be an Admin of that Page.
  • Your Instagram should be a Business or Creator account linked to the Page.

Connect Facebook and Instagram (recommended)

This connects both in a single step. Instagram is picked up automatically through the Instagram account linked to your Facebook Page, no separate Instagram login needed.

  1. Go to Settings, Connections and tap Connect under Facebook + Instagram.
  2. Log in to Facebook and approve the requested permissions. Facebook asks you to select a Business and a Page, choose yours and continue.
  3. PostaiLit shows a Choose your Facebook Page screen listing your Pages and any linked Instagram. Select the Page you want and tap Connect this page.
  4. You are returned to Connections with a success message. Your Page and its linked Instagram are now connected.

Connect Instagram only

Use this if your business does not have a Facebook Page.

  1. Go to Settings, Connections and tap Connect under Instagram only.
  2. Log in to your Instagram Business or Creator account and approve all requested permissions.

Troubleshooting

  • My Instagram is not showing. Confirm it is a Business or Creator account, and that it is linked to your Facebook Page from the Page settings.
  • I do not see my Page. Check that you are an Admin on the Page in Facebook Business Manager.
  • The connect window closed. Try again and accept every requested permission. Declining any one of them will fail the connection.

Important Note

  • You can connect one Facebook Page per plan. If you have several Pages, pick the one you want PostaiLit to post to on the selection screen.
  • PostaiLit only publishes content you approve. You can disconnect any time from Settings, Connections.

  1. Can I connect multiple Pages?
    One Page per plan. Add a second account if you run multiple brands.
  2. Do I have to give every permission?
    Yes, declining any one breaks publishing. We use only what is needed to post your approved content.
  3. How do I disconnect later?
    Settings, Connections, then Disconnect. You can reconnect any time.
