Reconnection required

Facebook access tokens last about 60 days. PostaiLit refreshes them automatically before they expire, but sometimes a refresh fails. If you see a Reconnection required notice in Settings, Connections, disconnect the platform and connect it again.

You changed your Facebook password

Changing your Facebook password signs out connected apps. Reconnect PostaiLit from Settings, Connections.

Wrong Page connected

If posts are going to the wrong Page, disconnect and reconnect, then select the correct Page on the selection screen.

Lost Page Admin access

PostaiLit can only publish if you are an Admin of the Facebook Page. If your role changed, restore Admin access on the Page, then reconnect.

Instagram not linked to the Page

Instagram publishing requires your Instagram to be a Business or Creator account linked to your Facebook Page. Link it on the Facebook Page first, then reconnect in PostaiLit.

A permission was declined

If you declined any permission during connection, publishing fails. Disconnect, reconnect, and accept every requested permission.

Important Note

  • Most connection problems are fixed by disconnecting and reconnecting from Settings, Connections, and accepting every permission.
  • If it still fails, open a support ticket and include the error message you see, our team can usually identify the cause within hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How often do I need to reconnect?
Almost never. Tokens auto refresh in the background, so reconnections are typically only needed after a password change or revoked permission.
  2. Will my scheduled posts publish while disconnected?
No, publishing pauses while the connection is broken. Reconnect to resume.
  3. Can I avoid this entirely?
Keep your Page Admin role in place, do not revoke permissions from Facebook, and reconnect promptly when prompted.
