Holidays are some of the best engagement opportunities of the year. The holiday calendar lets you opt your business into the ones that matter, and we take care of creating the post on time.

How to opt in

  1. Go to Brand Kit and scroll to the Holiday calendar section.
  2. You see two lists, Recommended for you (based on your location and industry) and Other holidays.
  3. Toggle on the holidays you want. Toggle off anything that does not fit your brand.

What happens after

About a week before each enabled holiday, PostaiLit automatically creates a themed post that fits your brand. It uses your brand colours, tone, and visual style, and incorporates the holiday context. You review and approve it like any other weekly post.

How recommendations work

The system looks at two things:

  • Your business location. We support major holidays for Canada, the US, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa, Jamaica, Mexico, and India.
  • Your industry. Some holidays only make sense for certain industries. A spa probably does not need to post about Tax Day, so it will not appear at all.

You can always enable holidays outside your region too if they are relevant to your audience.

Skipping a holiday

Even if a holiday post is generated, you are still in control. You can edit the caption, regenerate the image, or delete the post entirely from My Posts.

Important Note

  • Keep your opt ins focused. Posting about every minor holiday dilutes your feed. Pick the 5 to 10 that genuinely matter to your audience.
  • Holiday posts come from the same plan limits, they do not add extra slots, but they replace a regular pillar post in the week they appear.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What if I want a holiday in a different region?
Toggle it on from the Other holidays list, we will treat it like any other opted in holiday.
  2. Can I change the holiday post angle?
Yes, use Request changes on the generated post and the AI regenerates around your direction.
  3. Will holiday posts replace promotion posts?
No, promotions sit alongside the rest of your content. Both can run in the same week.
