Seasonal content is one of the easiest ways to feel relevant on social. Most of the time, the planner weaving holiday hooks into your week is exactly what you want. But every business has a few holidays that just do not fit, and you can opt out per holiday without turning seasonal posts off entirely.

Where to set it
- Open Brand Kit.
- Switch to the Holidays tab.
- You will see the upcoming calendar with a toggle next to each event.
- Switch off any holiday you want skipped this year.
When opting out makes sense
- A butcher shop opting out of Veganuary.
- A pub or bottle shop opting out of Dry January.
- A B2B SaaS opting out of Mother's Day.
- An adults only brand opting out of Easter Sunday family content.
- Any holiday where a tonally awkward post would do more harm than the boost in reach.
How turning a holiday off works
When the planner is building next week's batch, it checks your Holidays tab. Anything you have switched off is removed from the list of seasonal hooks it considers. Holidays you have left on still slot into your mix as normal, and your regular pillar content continues either way.
Important Note
- Opting out of one holiday does not turn off seasonal posting in general.
- Toggles apply per holiday per year. The list refreshes annually.
Turning a holiday back on
Same toggle, switched back on. Changes apply to the next weekly batch, not the one already generated.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Can I add a holiday that is not in the list?
Yes. Reach out to support with the date and we will add it to your calendar. - What if I want a softer take on a holiday instead of skipping it?
Leave the toggle on and edit the generated post during review. You can change the angle without skipping the whole holiday. - Do my preferences carry over year to year?
The list refreshes annually so you can decide each year. Past choices are kept for reference.
