You never have to pick a posting time. PostaiLit schedules every post automatically, and after a few weeks the timing adapts to your specific audience.

Brand new accounts

When you first go live, posts get scheduled at sensible default hours: roughly 7 to 9 in the morning, around lunch, and 5 to 7 in the evening. Times are randomised within those windows so your feed does not all post at the same hour.

Once you have data

After 10 published posts with analytics, the system starts using your real engagement history.

  1. Every hour of the day gets a score based on the average engagement rate of posts you have published in that hour over the last 180 days.
  2. New posts then schedule at your highest scoring hours.
  3. A fresh hour is mixed in occasionally so the system keeps exploring.

Your posting times shift over time. If your audience starts engaging more at 10am than 7am, your schedule moves with them.

Override a specific post

  1. Open the post detail page in your portal.
  2. Tap the scheduled time field.
  3. Pick a new date and time, then save.

Your change overrides the automated pick for that post. The weekly planner sees your change and will not double up on that day next time.

Across time zones

All times shown in your portal are in your business time zone, set in Brand Kit. Posts publish at the same wall clock time in your audience zone whether you are travelling or not.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Why are two posts on the same day?
The planner picks the best hour for each post independently. Sometimes that lands two on the same day. Move one in the calendar if you prefer them spread out.
  2. Can I set a "do not post" window?
Open Brand Kit and use the Posting hours preference to set blackout windows (e.g. before 7am or after 9pm).
  3. Does the schedule adapt for each platform separately?
Yes. Facebook and Instagram have their own engagement curves and are scored independently.
