Instagram stories with a link sticker can drive real traffic. PostaiLit attaches a tappable link to every story automatically, so viewers can go from your story to your site in one tap.

Set your default destination

  1. Open Brand Kit and find the Default call to action section.
  2. Enter the URL where viewers should land (e.g. your booking page, shop, or homepage).
  3. Choose a sticker label that suits your business. Common options: "Book now", "Shop now", "View menu", "Get a quote", "Learn more".

From now on, every story will include this link sticker automatically.

Customise per story

You can override the default URL and label on any individual story. Open the story in My Posts, tap the call to action card, and set a different destination or label just for that post.

What works

  • Use a specific landing page, not your homepage. "Book a treatment" should link to your booking page, not your homepage.
  • Keep your URL short and clean. Long URLs with tracking parameters can sometimes get rejected by Instagram.
  • Match your sticker label to the story content. A behind the scenes story works with "Learn more", a sale story works with "Shop now".

Why Instagram only

Facebook does not currently support story stickers through their API for third party tools. Once it does, PostaiLit will add it automatically. Until then, story link stickers appear on Instagram stories only.

Important Note

  • Stories disappear after 24 hours, but the click data does not. Check your monthly report to see which stories drove the most link taps.
  • If a story is rejected for a long URL, swap to a short link version and republish.
