Style references are the single biggest lever you have over how generated posts look. Without them, our image AI falls back to generic preset DNA and your posts can look similar to anyone else on the same preset. A few good references and your feed instantly feels like yours.

Where to find them

  1. Open Brand Kit.
  2. Switch to the Visual Style tab.
  3. You will see your current uploads in a grid, with an upload button below.

What to upload

  • Posts from brands whose aesthetic you admire.
  • Mood boards or Pinterest screenshots.
  • Magazine spreads or editorial shots.
  • Examples of your own past best posts.

How our image AI uses them

Every image generated for your account includes your style references as context. The image AI studies their lighting, composition, typography, colour palette, surface textures, and props, then applies that visual DNA to your post.

Important Note

  • Your brand colours always win over any colour in the references. Your brand palette is the source of truth.
  • References inform the look, not the literal content. The AI does not copy faces, products, or text from a reference.

Upload caps per plan

  • Starter, up to 2 references.
  • Growth, up to 5 references.
  • Pro, up to 10 references.

Tips for stronger style references

  • Variety helps: 3 references showing different angles of the same aesthetic beat 1 reference repeated.
  • Pick references that share a visual feel, not 3 totally different styles.
  • Reupload anytime. New posts pick up the changes on the next generation batch.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Can I use a competitor's post as a reference?
You can use it as a visual mood reference. The image AI never copies content directly, only the style cues.
  2. How quickly do new references take effect?
The next batch generation after you save Brand Kit picks them up.
  3. What if I do not have any references yet?
Start with 2 to 3 saved posts from brands you love. Refining is easier than starting from blank.
