Once in a while, after you have already approved a post, Ashantie will notice something worth a second look: a small typo, a colour that feels off, a tweak that would make the post land harder. Rather than let it publish as is, she can send it back to your review queue.

What you will see

The post pops back into your Pending review tab. When you open it, there is a banner across the top:

"Ashantie sent this back for another look", followed by her note explaining why.

The note is short and specific. Things like:

  • "Spotted a typo in line 2, fixed it in the caption, please re review."
  • "Updated the image, the original had a colour that clashed with the brand palette."

What to do

  1. Read the note.
  2. Review the updated version.
  3. Either Approve, or send it back with your own feedback.

If the change is minor and you trust the note, one tap on Approve and you are done.

Why this happens

Admin review is a safety net, not a one way gate. Sometimes a closer look catches something that slipped through the first pass. Sending it back to you, instead of just changing it silently, keeps you in the loop on anything that touches your brand voice or visuals.

How often it happens

Rarely. Most posts move straight from admin approval to your queue and out the door. Send backs are reserved for posts where a small fix would meaningfully improve the result, not for cosmetic preference.

If Skip client review is on

If you have Skip client review turned on, send backs still land in your queue. Admin send backs override the skip toggle, because the point of a send back is to get a fresh pair of eyes on it.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Will the original version be lost?
The current version of the post is what you see. The history is kept internally if we need to roll back.
  2. Can I reject the send back and publish the original?
Yes. Open the post and add your own note, then Approve.
  3. Does a send back use a regen credit?
No. Send backs are an admin action and do not touch your credit pool.
